This book is based on world war 2. The main character’s name is Felix. The book tells you about life in the world war. Morris GeleitzmanIs the author of Toad Rage and he lives in Australia.
Felix runs away from an orphanage and finds himself in World War Two.
Later on, he realizes that running away is a mistake. As Felix returns to the orphanage, he sees a burning house and rescues a young girl named Zelda. Soon a lot of bad stuff starts happening to them.
My opinion on Once is a very good book full of excitement, adventure, and sudden plot twists. A book like this is called “Then” because they’re from the same series. Other recommended books are, the butterfly lion, war horse, and Private Peaceful because they all contain something about the great war and how it hurt many people.
I loved this book so I will give it a 4-star rating.
